Apparently he is in breach of his contract and the FA are not amused.

Has he bollocks, if it wasn't him, it would have been something else. 2002 Terry wasn't in the squad and it was all about how Sven Goran-Eriksson had cheated on his wife with a TV presenter, 2004 it was Sven being linked with the Chelsea job, 2006 it was Rooney's injury that was focused on, the media are always going to jump on something prior to a tournament and it'll invariably be negative because there is demand for it.

Also, it wasn't Terry in particular who screwed up the 2010 World Cup, England wouldn't have done any better if he'd retained the captaincy, or if Wayne Bridge had gone, England lost because of bad luck and inferior, egotistical players. Maybe if Gerrard wasn't captain he would have been more of a team player, but I doubt it. His antics certainly haven't screwed up Euro 2012, England could still win that competition.

Media or not RR, there's always something (on field or off) that affects the build up to an England campaign.

The media just love stirring it up.

Can't see the FA sacking Capello. They couldn't afford to before, so I doubt they can now. Especially when he'll fuck off for free in July.

Still can't see them sacking him a few months before a major tournament with managers they'd probably want to at least interview in summer probably in jobs.

They have obviously already talked to Capello about it before the decision was already made, but they stripped Terry anyway.

He is the manager, and won't like to be undermined by the FA. If he doesn't agree then I think it's fair enough that he tells the public that. Shouldn't have to be associated with the decision of his employers if he doesn't agree with what they've done.
