Yeah, apparently the end basically makes any choices throughout the entire series pointless.

Re: Mass effect 3
ending:
- Spoiler:
- I hated the complete lack of closure from it. I still kinda have hope as they said there would be no halo 4, and there is. Also, the ending shot of Commander Shepard breathing in the rubble, and the way the kid said tell me another story of the shepard, which implies that there is more to be told about Shepard.

Does anyone know where you can find Thane, I've scoured the hospital many times and I still can't find him.

He should be on the left just as you enter the hospital, in front of the window. If in doubt, as soon as you come out the elevator hug the wall on the left and make your way around, can't miss him.

Doing my best to not read any of the posts on here, apart from replies to me.

I think it's when they're 'charging up'

The detail given to the planets, back story of races, etc. All so intricate. Reminds me of Middle-earth.

I agree, i'm kinda sad that it's all over, wish they would make Mass Effect 4. I just thought that was in reply to my comment about the banshees charging up.

Any new game wouldn't be the same without Garrus or Tali or Shepard, if it was set in a different time zone

Re: Mass effect 3
Maybe they base another series off the same universe:
- Spoiler:
- like when at the end he talks about how there are other planets with other species and that. Maybe set one in the distant future when everyone is start to get space travel and that again, I imagine you'd have different dangers with the Krogan no longer having the genophage if you cured them and other things.

- Ideas for new game:
- That would be great, maybe Earth people find parts of a Mass Relay in some ruins and stuff That would be great. I would love to find that thing that Liara made at some point, would be awesome.
I reckon a game set like 10/20/30 years later could be quite good, I mean the galaxy would be in massive disarray with all the Mass Relays gone and stuff, things would definitely be strained, especially if the Krogan start multiplying a lot, or if they find out that Shepard tricked them.. That could bring Shepard back as well, maybe not as a playable character though.

Re: Mass effect 3
The problem is...
- Possible spoilers on ending:
- There is very little scope for a game set just after the events of ME3. The mass relays are destroyed bringing down whole solar systems with them in the explosions and if this doesn't successfully exterminate each race, the end fleet is currently stuck on earth with little food or water. To all purposes the galaxy is fucked. Unless they made a game which was set between the events of the game, I just can't see characters such as Tali or Garrus appearing never mind having prominent roles in future ME games.
Which is why a game set in the Prothean days is the best bet. The little information Jarek tells you about the Prothean civilization is intriguing to say the least, the different subordinate nations, the possible rebellions that come with them. Could all make a very thought provoking game.
This is unless Bioware do give in to the fans call and make another ending(I hope).

Re: Mass effect 3
I reckon a game set before the games, in the first contact war, would be quite good. I mean, it would give good back stories to people, like the Illusive man (he was a crime boss on Shanxi during the first contact war) and it could be quite interesting. I still think a new game needs a character as good as Commander Shepard and it would be incredibly difficult to get characters as good as Garrus, Tali, Grunt, Thane etc
Sorry if that's spoilers, i don't think it is..

A game set on Earth during the Reaper Invasion!
Forget the concept of flying around in space doing missions and side quests to achieve some goal, focus entirely on Earth. Be a young recruit or maybe a man of position leading a squadron of commandos or something on Earth following David Anderson's orders. You'll be sent on missions around earth doing everything you can to slow down the Reaper Invasion until Shepard arrives for the final battle.
Bioware would have to really spoof up the combat system to make it really worth buying, as well as make it an interesting campaign with big(long?) missions and maps. Biotics and Tech powers would have to have whole new meaning, as would battlefield tactics, and maybe a dynamic omni-tool? In such a game, they would also really have to uplift the multiplayer to a whole new level.
If that wasn't enough to be worth a new game, Bioware could also bring out the development team and finally give us a Palaven, Sur'Kesh and Thesia. We would finally see how these planets are like (development and design team will really have to go wild) and we can go way more in depth into Turian, Salarian and Asari society. The game would be similar to the Earth campaigns, we would similarly be controlling Turian Soldier, Salarian Infiltrator and Asari Vanguard characters on missions throughout their respective planets in their attempts to stop/slow down the reaper invasion, and in Salarian case, the civil war(I think? Haven't gone that far in game yet).
The game could switch between characters similarly to how in Call of Duty Modern Warfare games switch between American and British forces following campaigns if you get what I mean.
The choices made in ME3 saves could directly affect events in this game as well. Shepards influences would be felt (for example, on Palaven, with the influences of Krogan groundtroops should Genophage be cured) throughout the game.
For tl/dr people, basically Mass Effect meets Gears of War would be good comparison? Dunno, never played Gears of War series...

The actual mission was mediocre but I found talking to the prothean very interesting. Worth a buy although really it shouldn't have been DLC in the first place.

I heard that there were only like 1500 casualties on both sides in the contact war, weak sauce.

Re: Mass effect 3
As for the ending...
- Spoiler:
- I feel cheated. I've invested way more than 100+ hours (because I have more than 1 playthrough) and the ending just sucked. I would have been 100% satisfied if I got on the citadel, shot the Illusive Man, and sat next to Anderson watching the crucible fuck over the reapers.
As for the kid, I am starting to understand it. Shepard is indoctrinated, or atleast partly, due to long exposure to reaper technology throughout the series. The kid was the Harbinger all along. This is why at the beginning Anderson didn't see the kid, and when he 'snapped' Shepard out of the indoctrination, he turned back and the kid was gone, as well as why nobody saw and helped the kid get up onto the shuttle before it exploded. This also explains why Shepard has dream sequences of the kid throughout the series and why he appears as this figure in the ending in the citadel.
The colors of the choices were purposely wrong. The reapers do not wish to be destroyed, therefore the paragon options include controlling the reapers or doing the synthesize and destroying the reapers appears as renegade.
