I would actually put King in that list somewhere. Even with one leg he is a class above most others.

If king was less injury prone he would be number 1 in DEF for me

King's played for 9 straight league games and will most likely play again on Saturday, he is getting consistency back so IMO should be up there. He's such a huge difference maker for us, with him we are a hell of a lot more solid.

would put him at 4.. removing colocini or skrtel but if he can prove to be consistent now then number1

I never liked the "if so and so, was less injury prone..blah blah" argument. It's about the now that matters. I mean if Maradona was 25 years younger he'd be the best player in the world,(wait's for someone to mention Messi/Ronaldo would still be better) but he's not so it doesn't matter.

Not really a great example but I think it's pretty clear what I mean.
