Berbatov's body language pisses me off so much, can't really blame him though.

I'm not really trying to defend him, but when everyone isn't playing consistently good enough, so he's not the only one you can single out.kyro7 wrote:Don't defend him, Anderson has been awful and he's meant to be a midfielder that gets our attacking play going.Danny wrote:Tbf to Anderson, no one's playing well atm, so it's not just him. Think the last time we did play well was against fucking Bolton. We're an absolute joke over the last month and a half.
Rooney seems to have forgot where the goal is, and because we can't defend and keep clean sheets consistently he's in the fucking midfield, Nani's playing shite, Anderson is etc...
The fact that the players nominated for our player of the month hadn't done much to be there says it all.

Level on points with Benfica, equal head to head with them, better GD, so I'm guessing we're top.

Re: Manchester United FC Official Thread
Not a great performance but we got the result needed. We were looking great at times, the build up to the goal was nice, and some good one touch football around the box, although nothing clinical.
Jones was fantastic down the right, looked class overlapping and got a great assist. Love how he attacks the defenders, just runs at them and they usually back off. He's got quick feet for a defender as well, love it Also had 3/3 take ons, pretty good.
Berbatov was good, just couldn't score
Rooney was alright I suppose. Seems odd seeing him in central midfield though, would prefer him to be more forward but some of his long balls were class.
Anderson wasn't great, just shows how bad our midfield is at times, he isn't consistent enough. Great start to the season then it's kind of dried up. Maybe it could be because him and Cleverley worked well together and he hasn't had that partnership really since Bolton, when he's gone bad. Or the fact Cleveley makes others next to him in center midfield look better. Take your pick.
De Gea dealt with the crosses well, didn't drop one and his punched were good, much better than previous games. Made a nice save from the shot which deflected of Rio.

Rooney gave the ball away sometimes and that was very disappointing to see.

We had a few rounds of decent football, but we really lacked the cutting edge and the team didn't really seem to come together as well as it should. Some of the runs were strange, and the passes didn't seem to flow as freely as we all know they could. It's like they didn't entirely know how to play together for parts of the game. Nani really annoyed me when he refused to give the ball to Berbatov for the umpteenth time, considering the fact that what Berbatov did do, he did well. He's a far cry from Spurs Berbatov, but he was certainly making the right runs, and attempting the right things.
Jones is simply awesome. Fantastic defensive talent we have in that boy. He can defend, he can play a pass, and he's even good going forward. Those crosses were just mint. He really does remind me of Beckenbauer, and I wouldn't say that lightly.
I thought Rooney was pretty well in midfield to be honest. Clearly not as good as he is in attack, and not really a "Paul Scholes", but he managed to prevent the ball being lost a few times and opened up play when he needed to. I think he could do a very good job there if he wanted to convert to a midfielder, but I'd rather get a new midfielder than a new striker
Anderson made a ton of mistakes that I really don't expect him to be making. We're running out of midfielders too quickly
De Gea

Wayne Rooney completed 86/97 (89%) of his passes tonight against Galati. #MUFC
Not bad. I want a gif of his pass to Berbatov, out of this world.

The season will go like the Charity shield, We begin as the better team in the first (half of the season) but they dominate it and have a big lead over us, but in the second half (of the season) we come back and win it at the death
Or City could just fucking smash the league and win it with a 15 point lead or something

City will probably just thrash the league tbh.
You know it's bad (or in their case, good) when Jolean fucking Lescott is standing out in a great defence.

Tbh, we do have to play well sooner rather than later.
Hopefully we do because it's nearly Christmas- sort of.
