Katy Perry’s crew organised a surprise for her 27th Birthday that involved going to watch her favourite film ‘Ghostbusters’ at the Electric Cinema.
Tom Lawes who owns the cinema told brmb:
“We had a call on Monday saying could they hire out the cinema on Tuesday, and they did say it was for Katy Perry.”
“When she arrived she was quite nervous because of all the works going on around New Street. But once she got into the room, all her dancers were there and her crew and they had a great time.”
He went on to tell us it was a rush for staff to organise, ordering in Katy’s favourite wine.
“She ordered in McDonalds too. And when she noticed there were some left, one of our members of staff was sent out with it to give it to the homeless.”
Katy has just celebrated her first wedding anniversary to Russell Brand who wasn’t present at the party. She performed at the NIA on the Wednesday night, and told fans:
“Birmingham, what did you do to me last night?” as she explained she was quite hungover.
