Rino was the one that received a suspension. However, I don't know if UEFA even bothered to investigate Jordan.

Yeah, good on Gattuso for sorting out Jordan for being racist and a general cunt.

Gettuso reminds me of the palestinian terrorist guy in Don't Mess With The Zohan.
Gattuso would eat Jordan for breakfast, than gulp down a glass of OJ like nothing happened. Beast.

Yeah, what a beast. He'd easily beat up an old man.

No, haven't you heard the Spurs fans? Jordan is a kickboxer and in the best fitness of his life.Dan wrote:Lus Suarez wrote:Gettuso reminds me of the palestinian terrorist guy in Don't Mess With The Zohan.

Can't find a video of it but it's on his wikipedia page I remember this.
GattusoHe was one of the key players in Italy's World Cup-winning team, winning the Man of the Match award in the 2006 FIFA World Cup knockout stage match against Ukraine. He and Pirlo formed a formidable partnership in the heart of midfield. Gattuso achieved a measure of notoriety for his post-match celebrations after Italy won the World Cup, during which he removed his shorts and ran around the pitch in his underwear, until FIFA officials forced him to cover up.

I don't remember Spurs fans saying he's in the best shape of his life and a kickboxer. But, he is someone you don't want to mess with. Neither is Gattuso, but he deliberately tried to hurt Jordan. Shoved his hand in his face during the game then had another shot afterwards. The guy is a nutter and shouldn't be allowed to play. Anyone with common sense would've just walked away and forgot about it. Oh and if I remember rightly Jordan was suspended for a few games I think so he did get punished.

Coaches have no business getting into it with players that are on the pitch. Jordan should not have made derogatory remarks towards Gattuso, yet he continued swearing at Gattuso for the duration of the second half until he finally snapped. That still doesn't excuse Gattuso's behavior, but it's the first time in his career that I've seen him have a go at someone physically. He did apologize after the match.

Joe Jordan used to play in Italy and respects Italian football. We're going on what Gattuso said regarding that - plus in football players get stick off everyone, so even if Jordan was winding him up Gattuso should be experienced enough not to be affected by it.
Putting your hands on a 60 year old by the neck is inexcusable.

Jordan might "respect Italian football," but he still called him a "dirty Italian bastard," among other profanities that he hurled at Gattuso during the second half of that particular match. Again, things of that nature are part of the game (unfortunately), however, that sort of nonsense shouldn't be tolerated from coaches. A 60-year-old should be mature enough not to engage in such deplorable behavior.
As for the the second portion of your post, Gattuso's actions were indeed "inexcusable," but some people tend to think that Gattuso acted in the manner that he did, simply because he's some sort of maniacal animal that should be put back into his cage.
In his apology, Gattuso stated that he should've never put his hands on Jordan. The fact that Jordan is an "old man," made his actions that much worse, in his opinion.

Agreed. It's not like Jordan was actually hurt by him, it wasn't that big a deal.
