Well I think everyone knows that United just had a World Class keeper retire last season so it makes perfect sense to test the new guy as much as possible. This is the perfect way to see how good the defense actually is and how much did they actually depended on Van der Sar to save the date. Put any team in a situation like this and they will likely face a ton of shots at goal. Well unless you are like Barcelona and have the ball rough 80% of the time then this is a different story altogether.

The keeper bit is overstated, it's more to do with the shit midfield that's getting worse every season, constant defensive injuries, and Ferguson's shit tactics and senseless team selection.

Also, it's a valid point about Berbatov, we do concede a lot less with him in the team. As well as his excellent reading of the game, he can hold up possession in the other team's half (they don't shoot from there) much better than Chicharito and he offers a good option for long clearances.

A lot of it is to do with O'Shea being sold.
