It looked fairly even to me and the tie is suppose to go to the offensive player. Although it was somewhat Klose

Both exactly on the line As someone mentioned the refs are told to give the attacking team the decision in such a case. So I think the ref called it right........unfortunately

Re: Lazio v Roma derby
fair play to him
i'm half german, so i can't help but at least be a little happy for him. he's not completely dead to me yet
naturally i'm angered we lost especially when it came so late in the game. but we had our chances in the 1st half and we didnt capitalize
lazio finally get their first derby win in 3 years and 5 matches, and it took them a roma red card, roma injury, and a lazio penalty

Re: Lazio v Roma derby
It seems that Lazio had a ton of chances in the 2nd half and after that shot from Djibril Cissé that hit the post they would have been rather unlucky to get only a draw. Was a good match even from the neutrals perspective.

I really enjoyed watching that. Tackles flying in, chances, goals and lots of drama. Great match.

Re: Lazio v Roma derby
it was a good match indeed, especially in comparison to the other serie A matches earlier today
only because we were down to 10men =[ (rather harshly/unfairly btw), not to mention our starting right back (and leading assister) got subbed out in the 1st half due to injury

All fair points to make, I could not really find a decent stream until the start of the 2nd half, also while keeping my eye on what my local American football team was doing.

yeah, so you probably missed the 1st half when we created multiple good chances but didnt capitalize. we should've been 2-0 but that's our fault, not the ref or lazio
what you saw of the 2nd half was all lazio, especially after our red card

Disappointed I missed this, it sounded like a good game. Hopefully Roma will bounce back.

Re: Lazio v Roma derby
we will. most of us are already putting the loss behind us. our team played well considering we suffered an injury in the first half, and we played with 1 less player in the 2nd half. there were a lot of positives to take from this game for roma, more positives than negatives. we've shown better signs of improvement and chemistry each game we play together. today we were just unlucky
looking forward to the next derby where we'll get our revenge. we will have totti too

Re: Lazio v Roma derby
it still sickens me how the laziale are still defending him
how the hell do you fall FORWARD when someone tugs BACKWARDS on your shoulder
brocchi said it was the momentum. he obviously never went to school, like the rest of them. i should show the clip and brocchi quote to my old physics professor. he'd get a good laugh out of it

Meanwhile, Brocchi insists he did not dive to win the spot kick and expressed has delighted that Lazio had ended their losing streak in the Derby della Capitale.
"It wasn't a dive. He got my arm and the momentum swung me round, so it was simply the natural movement of my body in that situation."
