Newcastle vs Spurs

Thats why we love the Prem, what a finish. Wouldnt see that in any other league.

Great to hear St James' Park as loud as it was today. Hopefully Newcastle can do even better than last season.

I didn't watch this and stuck injury time on a stream and it was great, felt like a watched a whole match.

That was a proper game of football, i loved it.

Good game. Either team could have won at the end...

Kinda gutted. Had a quid on Demba Ba first goal scorer and 2-2 draw. Would have won 81 quid.

Towards the end their chances were coming thick and fast though, and they had a handball shout, hard to call so guess draw is fair

Fairly happy with this result, although Spurs will give us more of a challenge in the league I can see Newcastle being a dark horse this year.

Why did modric start out wide? we had gio and townsend on the bench but no, lets play our best player out of position where hed have to a defensive job hes not capable of doing. then you have walker hobbling for 30 minutes and not bringing him off, then he couldnt get back to challenge ameobi for the goal.

We have too many players attacking players who need to be on the field. Also I believe Defoe should start and Adebayor. They've been great together. What lineup would you have played today? Also bringing on Pav isn't a big deal, he was fresh, Adebayor barely did anything all game, and we have a tough Europa draw this week. Fair swap to me.

TBH I thought Modric on the wing wasn't a good idea...

Walker was hobbling but he still managed to sprint up the pitch, and he was around the defence...he just isn't the best defender. Most goals against you seem to come from his side.

It is great to see Livermore doing so well. Sandro is injured right? Otherwise I would've thought he would be playing.

Overall I believe it is hard for a manager to come up with a starting XI that includes Van Der Vaart. He's not a winger, he's not a striker, he's not a natural center mid. Either way someone ends up playing somewhere they don't normally play and VDV and Modric are both liabilities defensively.

Adebayor made a meal out of that penalty. Correct call though.

He's not perfect. But if you watch Spurs for a full game every week then you will notice Modric doing his bit defensively. He pointed to Walker to tell him to mark whoever was overlapping then he forgot about Gutierrez himself. I'm slightly more concerned about who let Ba come into the box unmarked. King would've had that covered.

Newcastle is somewhere we never win, so I would've taken a point before the game anyway. There were times I thought we were too selfish and there was a better option on that wasn't taken. Nonetheless we are 3 points behind Newcastle, 6 points behind Chelsea and 9 points behind City with a game in hand so all positive about this season at the moment.

bassong, hence why I said bassong earlier, doing the typical bassong, stood right next to him in the box then just watches him make a run and does fuck all as per. what a waste of space id rather have caulker than that piece of shit
