I havn't had to play really defensive, just been a bunch of this.

So what is the tactical defending all about?

The only difference I notice is that you just have to use left trigger (contain) a lot more and actually stab for the ball with B.

I've noticed it's virtually impossible to get the ball using A unless your player is right in front of the opposition player. In the last game I played I could outrun the opponent and get the ball with A. Now, way too many players just dribble past me and break away as I attempt to stab the ball with B and missing completely.

Also, now calling your teammate for help doesn't do much other than limiting his passing options. That is the one other major change for me.

Back to the daily grind.

Tactical defending is much harder than Legacy defending. You now have to time your tackles perfectly.

The one thing that is really pissing me off about FIFA 12 is the LB button when you have the ball. In FIFA 11, I used to run and suddenly change direction by holding LB + right stick. Now in FIFA 12 if you hold LB, your player completely stops. I'm so used to holding LB that my player now just stops when he cuts back and loses the ball.
