Re: Breaking Bad
So glad I managed to catch up to this onto the 2nd episode from Season 5 now compared to the 1st episode of Season 3 on Tuesday
One thing though, I know the Season 4 finale seemed to get loads of praise from people but am I the only one who thought the 11th episode was better?

- Spoiler:
- The one where at the end Walt goes to Saul and asks him to get him a new identity then goes home and found out Skylar gave most of the money they needed to escape to Ted. Personally that episode was the best I've seen of a show

Which one was this?
I managed to catch up with everything
- Spoiler:
- Jesse at the dinner table in the last episode
Also, I hate the whole White family (excluding the baby for any smartasses), hopefully they all get taken out before the Season ends ... it won't happen

I just find him so annoying, always seems to be complaining about something. For me, the best characters are Jesse, Mike & Saul

Re: Breaking Bad
What an episode
- Spoiler:
- Is next episode the last one before the break? Sets everything up nicely. I must say that's one of my favourite episodes so far. Can't believe the cunt shot Mike though and then said "Oh, I can get all the names off Lydia."
Loved the start of it as well with the say my name.

So I'm in the middle of season 2 and while this is pretty good its not better than The Wire, Mad Men, or even Dexter (at the same stage) does it get better as time goes on? Can't believe Walter White beat out Don Draper for Emmy's.

I'm in the middle of season 3. I think it's better than season 2. Although I freaking love Mad Men, I would say both shows are at the same level. Both actors are equally great too.

Re: Breaking Bad
As of now, I see Don Draper as 10 times the character of WW, the supporting cast is better so far too.

I've never got Mad Men, it's boring as hell.

Re: Breaking Bad
I once watched an episode where they spent like 10 minutes talking about a sweet ham, they then proceeded to talk about advertising swimsuits. Riveting.

Re: Breaking Bad
The swimsuits represent the growing liberal ideology that defined 1960s America, and how the characters, all raised in the 40s and 50s, are struggling adept to the new.

Also, Don Draper is hardly a character. He just clenches his draw and lights a cigarette any time he has a problem.

You're ridiculous, he's the most complex man on television.

No, Walter White is a great character. But I agree that the supporting cast is better on Mad Men.

Re: Breaking Bad
I put it right on par with Dexter and The Wire. It's slightly better than Six Feet Under overall but Six Feet Under will always have the absolute greatest finale in the history of television. I cannot imagine anybody topping that.

Re: Breaking Bad
Seasons 3 and 4 are disgustingly good. Season 5 has been a doozy so far too.
