It's on the guardian. But I'm surprised they went for him, not saying he's a bad player at all.

Only the transfer rumours section. Sid Lowe(Guardian La Liga writer) has ruled it out.

Don't really think he's good enough for Barca even as cover but I guess many big clubs will try get him in Jan as a potential free player with a great future.

Idk if he would fit the style anyway. And I'm sure he would rather stay in England

He'd fit in well. Apparently Barcelona defenders don't have anything to do because the likes of Messi and Iniesta do all the defending

Nah thats not the point, everyone touches the ball on Barcelona. Would he have the composure and trust to pass it back or would he just boot it out like most defenders do in the EPL? He would definitely help in the aerial department.

I was being sarcastic lol.
Marvin will probably reply to me being all defensive but I don't think he will fit well into Barca in that aspect at all like you said. He's still young though and could learn.
However Barca need cover for central defense (look at the game against Milan). If I recall correctly he is allowed to speak to other clubs in January and agree to join on a bosman when his contract is out. I really don't think it will happen as its just a wild rumor atm.

He can handle a rainy Wednesday away at Stoke, but can he handle a sunny day at home against Madrid?

Cahill can pass the ball pretty well (for an English defender anyway).
Don't think it's a good idea anyway and don't believe there's a chance it'll happen, Bolton want good money for him and I doubt Barcelona will try to overpay (again) for a CB who could be ehhhh for them, if they REALLY want Cahill they can wait until the summer when he'll be free but I doubt they see him as a can't miss transfer so they'll find someone new within that time.

He's got a decent first touch and can pass the ball fairly well, not on Pique's level bit yeah
