Eto'o is retired as a top footballer. I would have liked to have put more players in there but you know how it is with Liverpool fans, one has to include all of their players that are crap or you get a load of pricks having a go at you saying you're biased or whatever. The 5 options that I included almost as a joke, they've got nearly 25% of the vote, can you imagine what they'd have been like if I hadn't included them?

Indeed, I dread to even think of the consequences had you not included Suarez. I'd still call Eto'o a top footballer for his performance last season though.

Reina and Suarez are legitimate, Gerrard isn't. I can hardly remember the last time he had an outstanding game, probably when you beat Aston Villa 5-0 and he scored a hat-trick.

Whether Messi and Ronaldo are a given or not is debatable, although if we were assuming so, I would have to go for Iniesta.

While I believe that Xavi is the more important of the two for Barcelona, I could imagine him struggling in sides that do not focus on a passing game. I could imagine Iniesta thriving in almost any side.

How can you make an assumption like that? I could vote for anyone on that and justify it with, if he was in another team he'd be thrive. The question is who is the thrid best in the world so answer it with what you know rather than an assumption which may not even be true.

That's like saying Messi isn't the best in the world because if he played for Wolves he wouldn't fit into their style of play. It's crap, you have to use what is there and Iniesta and Xavi both play for Barcelona not another team.

Rooney, in my opinion not the best striker, but in terms of ability he has to be right up there.

For what he does I rate Xavi ahead of Ronaldo.
