He didn't dive. The contact was minimal and it could be argued that he made a slight meal of it, but there was definitely contact which was enough to take him over nonetheless.

There was still enough contact to take him over though. If he was diving, then he wouldn't have faceplanted straight onto the ground. He would have known that he was going to fall and put out his hands to stop himself from getting hurt.
