PIG can still go out on loan. I'm sure you can make loans for another week or 2. (not 100% but I'm pretty sure I've seen it somewhere)

Re: Manchester United FC Official Thread
The only reason Sneijder wasn't signed was because of his absurd wage demand, and that we have Cleverley. Considering that, there is no reason to think we will go back for him as long as his wage demand remains absurd.

There is nothing absurd about one of the world's finest footballers wanting to be paid a lot of money.

It's not greed, it's wanting to be paid what he deserves. We significantly underpay our players at United.

So we should just pay £62M + bonuses for a player that isn't guaranteed to take to the premiership when we already have players like Cleverley, Anderson, Carrick, Fletcher and Pogba? Wesley is obviously an exceptionally good player, and I personally think he'd be amazing, but £62M+ for 3 years with that risk? Absurd.

Clevereley - Unproven
Anderson - Inconsistent
Carrick - Will never ever be anywhere near as good as Sneijder
Fletcher - Don't get me fucking started
Pogba - Has this guy ever played a professional match?
We have £100m+ in the bank, we are about to announce record breaking operating profits, I think we can afford that for the improvement it would give to the team.

We get less money if we don't do as well in competitions because we are relying on average players in central midfield/living on a prayer.

Maybe but what if the youth are as good and true RR but what if the same thing happens even if we were to sign him? would make the case so much worse....

Our midfield is not good enough and should have been invested in, end of story.

We are not exactly short of cash at the moment, if it doesn't work we can sell him at the end of the season, and in a footballing context we are no worse off.

which we would probably end up losing money on.
Giving youth the chance is the better way, otherwise the future will depend on european youth rather than our own.

At the end of the day, how do we expect to compete with Europes elite with a midfield of Anderson and Cleverley/Carrick? We will be bombed.

Can't believe we haven't sign a single midfielder. It's unbelievable to see that Sir Alex is convinced that our midfield is good enough

Both would probably start in the CL after Christmas (if Fletcher's still playing like a cunt) along with Anderson.
We got to the fucking final last season with Carrick and Giggs- even if we did have a relatively straightforward draw. We were in the final as soon as the quarter final draw was made imo.
