Just watching some world cup thing on BBC three and they are now showing the Argentinian goal v Mexico where tevez was definitely offside, why are the rules so strange that you cannot revoke a decision?

Why can't you revoke a goal once it's scored?

It's such a stupid rule... it should never be like that.

Because the referee's decision is final (apparently).

Your legally not allowed to show highlights of the game inside the stadium incase it shows a refs mistake and provokes riots or summat like that. That South African stadium made a mistake

But what if the referee wants to change it? he isn't allowed due to the rules

He can, but once play restarts then it is final.

Just ask Sepp Blatter, he wouldn't introduce goal line technology or video replay if he had a gun pointed to his head.

I'm not sure what you are talking about. The center referee has every right to change his mind about any incident. The only exception to that is if play has been restarted (i.e. Kickoff after a goal). And to be honest, it should stay that way. Once play has restarted, it's time to get over it and the referee should be worrying about what's going on right now.
