The 5/6-a-side thread
If anyone does this post here. I joined one recently and have my first match in a few days, any tips I need? My stamina is shit so going to have to work on how to preserve it without running round like a loony.

Always play it simple, dont try all crazy passes, then you should be fine.

I play for one, nothing major but myself and some friends have been doing it for a year or so. As long as you have a good understanding of your team mates, don't be too greedy and don't use up energy fast you will do well

Getting your team to play a short passing game will always help. It helps especially if you are smaller and weaker than the team you're up against.

Always helps to be stronger and weaker.
All the top teams know this highly secret formula.

You started a thread about 5-a-side after you joined a 6-a-side team?

Re: The 5/6-a-side thread
There's actually 7 a side?
@Collie, Powerleague is like a seperate 5-a-side ran by a company, this covers all aspects of 5/6 a side football. Not just one company based one

Read the thread, there is a lot of discussion about Goals aswell as Powerleague.
It's not restricted.

Lost our first match 1-0 and we nearly scored last kick of the game.

Re: The 5/6-a-side thread
We do 7-a-side over here.
Just quick passes and regular shots at opposing keeper. We play in a 17+ older league.

How do you only score one in a 5-a-side game?

Unlucky. I'm sure you'll start winning games once the team gels and plays together more often.

Re: The 5/6-a-side thread
play the berba role
stay up front and dont defend
just make sure you don't miss a single chance, and no one will complain.

We just defend as a unit and attack as a unit.
