This is where the chat thread ruins the matchday threads

Oh the joy of watching other teams come to Wembley and park the bus.

No he shouldn't if the point of the vice captain is to captain when the captain is unavailable there shouldn't be a issue.BenSmith wrote:Busy thread, Gerrard should've kept the captaincy.

Re: England vs Montenegro
Next match at Wembley will be France and they certainly won't park the bus and they've certainly got their act together. I doubt England could possibly beat France without Defoe

We shouldn't have all these different sub sections for each part of the forum tbh. That's why EA was so active imo, it was all in one place, s you didn't need to keep clicking back etc.

I agree, but Gerrard is a better captain than Rio.

Re: England vs Montenegro
We should've won with a blatant penalty.
They had 1 chance when it hit the post, but we were the better team......and seriously the officials make it more difficult for us almost every single game.......why do we always have to beat the other team as well as the ref.....

Referee was joke, blatant foul on Ashley Young in the box and a blatant handball in the box. We should of had 2 penalites tonight.

Re: England vs Montenegro
Rooney should have got one goal at least, probably another as well, the second one was a great save though.
Crouch should not be played, not because he's shite, but it just makes us knock long balls towards him, and I really, really don't like that.
Only players that done well for me were Gerrard and Rio, maybe a couple others were okay, but no standout great performances, and no stand out awful ones for me.
For me, Gerrard and Rooney play too deep, Gerrard is like a deep lying playmaker and Rooney plays behind the striker, if both were more advanced we'd be much better.

Kevin Davies v Montenegro: mins played 20, shots 0, passing accuracy 43%, fouls conceded 3, fouls won 1, yellow cards 1.

Not his fault. You need to stop the rest of the team playing like that. Not fair to fuck over Crouch because the rest of the team are mongs.

Rio? He was alright, was too deep with the rest of the defence though, making Barry and Gerrard play too deep too. Needed to step up to force it. Also kept running forward later in the game and losing possession.
Huddlestone > Barry tbh. Barry is fucking useless, Huddlestone will do his job easily and actually add something more to the team, yet Capello leaves him out completely, putting Wilshere who played for the U21's the other day (I think) instead Hudders was pivotal last season for us and has been this season, yet Capello insists on ignoring him and most of the Spurs squad.....

Rio's passing was quality, and when they tried to do something he was always covering, he done well imo, he only lost possession once, and it was arguably a foul.
I know you're a Spurs fan and you're going to defend Crouch, but when he's on, that's his main strength, knocking it up towards him, because when we're not breaking a team down, it will just be there, Crouch, knock it up to him, I really don't like that, not Crouches fault but it will always happen.
Much rather Crouch had nothing to do with England and it was Bent and Defoe, which it probably will be.

Re: England vs Montenegro
But why should Crouch be sacrificed because the rest of the team are retards and can't play properly. Says alot about the rest of the team.
Spurs learnt how to use Crouch fine, England should too.

Crouch isn't to my liking, he's big and he's not even all that in the air, I thought Davies was a better target man, but I don't like target men for England tbh.

Re: England vs Montenegro
Davies was average IMO. Elbowed a guy in he throat, got booked and kicked the keeper, great debut that Read he has an even worse strike rate then Heskey somewhere too...
If Huddlestone was playing we wouldn't have needed a TM as he'd have picked anyone out with his sexy passing.
Also, did anyone else notice how left footed Barry was? Absolutely refused to use his right in any situation. Surely he can't be that bad? Would have thought you'd have needed atleast some ability with your weaker foot to be a top player, especially if you're a defensive midfielder???

Can't stand Barry, I'd take Huddlestone over him.
England fans are a bunch of cunts tbh, I know we should be winning that game, but still, we won 4-0 and 3-1 away to Switzerland, we've been decent so far, we had this dodgy game and they start booing again, gets on my fucking nerves, and they leave even before we've drawn the game.

I haven't been impressed with any of our games for a while now. Yeah we win, but the performance is fucking awful most of the time.

Re: England vs Montenegro
I wonder if that intensity that the fans of England add is a contributing factor to England's underachievment. The manager doesn't do anything to take the pressure off either. They show up to their World Cup games wearing really sharp, expensive three piece suits. It just reinforces the magnitude of the moment instead of distracting them from that aspect and getting them to focus on the fact that it's just a game, the same game they used to play when they were little tykes.

tbf the England "fans" at the montenegro game last night were for the most part not full time football fans! most of them were sat cross armed waiting for something to happen! they are cunts, but they are also cunts who thought they would have a nice day out in London and then watch England, for which tickets were readily available! i saw a woman leaving the stadium with Harrods bags, loads of them! these people are not normal England fans! there is still a hangover from the world cup, until this is over Wembley wont be a fun place to watch England (lower tier). the pricing needs to be adjusted too! especially for less glamourous ties!
