Favourite season in football
Can be for personal reasons e.g. Successful year for your team, or just a year that was the most entertaining throughout the league.

Re: Favourite season in football
Either 2007/08 when we got promoted to the Championship, or 2009/10 where we finished 3rd and played some of the best football seen at the City Ground in years.

Re: Favourite season in football
Hard one for me.
Between 2004/5 (Istanbul) and 2008/09 where we finished second, had the least defeats in the league (only two!) and destroyed European powerhouses such as Real Madrid and Inter Milan.
Also when we won the treble under Houllier, but I was too young to fully appreciate it then. Was only just getting into football that year.

Wasn't it 2008/09 where Liverpool finished 2nd?
I just remember it being the FIFA 09 year, I might be wrong.

I also loved the year where we won the FA Cup, and the 2007/08 season where we beat the likes of Barcelona to get to the CL final in Athens.

For me 04/05 when we won the league for the first time in 50 years, beating Bolton at the Reebok to clinch it. Also 09/10 won first double and broke record for most goals was pretty good

04/05 was just magical, in more recent season 08/09 when we were one of the best in Europe.

2001/2002 season.
Stevie Cotterill took us to our 3rd promotion in 5 years as we reached league one for the first time.
We also did it in style. We reached the Fa Cup 5th round before losing out away at West Brom in a close fought game.
Not only that, we won the play offs at the millenium stadium at Cardiff that season.
The atmosphere's at our games were excellent as we averaged around 5000 in a 7000 stadium.

Absoloute Legend around here especially as he's a Cheltonian.
He took us from the Conference South to League one in 5 seasons winning the FA Trophy at the old Wembley on the way. e

Bristol Rovers winning the league two play offs, when Igoe scored with seconds left from the half way line the whole of Wembley went crazy. Amazing day.

Re: Favourite season in football
2010 WC time was the best footballing time for me. My life was basically all football then. I watched the games on tv. Go Bradford City's stadium or the astro turf and play for hours. Eat. Shit. Shower. Sleep. Repeat.
