Re: Has Messi hit his peak?
It would be difficult for him to get much better, considering he scores near enough one every game. There's only a small amount of improvement which he can make, perhaps.
If he keeps that up that consistently though, that's perhaps a more impressive achievement, so there is room to do more yet.

I can't see him getting much better but then if you'd asked me a year ago I'd have said the same and he improved.

I can't imagine what he's going to be like at 28...

I don't think he can get much better if at all when it comes to the technical aspect of his game, but he can get better in certain areas to make himself more complete. Would also be nice to see if he could dominate in a team that wasn't loaded like Barcelona is.

To be fair, I think he won't be as good as he is now at 28, I think he'll keep going at this rate or improve slightly till he's 26/27, then start to dip but he'll still be class.

He'll be better when he's 33.

He still lacks the ability to teleport and be a goalkeeper, he will achieve one or both before he peaks.

He may not have as prolific a season again as this past one but I think his overall play will become better, his general playmaking ability, his freekicks etc will probably improve.

When it comes to statistical play, I'd say so... I mean, the only way he can get better is in International play (no Fine Shagger beasting Costa Rica U-23's doesnt count) but I think he's reached his peak, and I think this peak will last a few years barring injury.

Re: Has Messi hit his peak?
I didn't think he could get much better than his performance two season ago. However, he proved me wrong by his stellar performance last season. I don't think there is much room for improvement in his game, because he is already such a beast. I think as he ages and he starts losing his speed/fitness, he will rely more on his playmaking ability. As we can already see, he is one of the best passers in the game. He is currently relying more on his speed and tight dribbling because he is physically able to.

To be fair, it's not a bad peak to have hit if he has maxxed out.
