Sunderland wide man Ahmed Elmohamady has drawn the attention of Premiership titans Manchester United and Arsenal, according to Sky Sports.
The Egypt international, who joined the Black Cats in the close season from ENPPI on an extendable season-long loan, has produced a host of impressive displays in the Premier League so far this term.
Sky Sports reported that Elmohamady's consistency urged United and Arsenal to 'check on' the 23-year-old.
The pacey right-sided midfielder, who was praised by his manager Steve Bruce on more than one occasion, might be seeking to earn a permanent deal in January, the same report conjectured.
Elmohamady has been one of Sunderland's regular starter this season, thanks to his scintillating form.
However, the versatile ace didn't live up to expectations in Egypt's 1-0 away loss to Niger Sunday in the 2012 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying stage.
Sounds like Amr Zaki 2.0
Hopefully this doesn't get to him (even if it isn't true) like it did to Zaki.
