Sky Go (possible free Sky Sports) Empty Sky Go (possible free Sky Sports)

Post by CollieBuddz Thu Jul 07, 2011 12:25 am

    Anyone seen all the ads.

    This shiz launches today apparantly.

If you don't have Sky but know someone who does, rob their Sky ID and password and you can get Sky Sports free on your laptop or iPhone.

(If your iPhone is jailbroken, you can get an app and a cheap cable to start watching stuff from your iPhone, on your TV. Absolutely free Sky Sports)

    cheers

Yep but they've fucked off the subscription fees aslong a you have a Sky subscription.

I don't have Sky but my Dad does. My laptop is too shit to run Sky Player.

So now I'm going to get it on my iPhone, hook it up to my TV. Free Sky Sports.

Only allowed two other devices per ID so it will be hard.

But if someone does give you one, I'm sure you could mess around with your IP and get this in America.

    Interesting...

We're getting sky+ for our house at Uni next year.

Does that mean, along with the main TV with that, two other people in the house can use sky on there laptops to watch what they want? Will work well.

    Yeah I'm doing the same.

It's either not released at this moment, or they're just carrying on using the Sky Mobile TV app.

I'm just getting an ID and password to test and I'll let you know.

I had Sky Mobile tv on my iPhone? (Had it basically all last season to watch the football, fucked it off now as the footy's finished). Does that mean I'm eligible for Sky Go, or do you have to have Sky Digital in your house to get it free?

You have to have a subscription in your house to get it free. If not, then in August you can carry on just paying for Sky Mobile. But it's easier to find someone who has Sky and ask for their ID. Not many people know about or bother with Mobile.

I just went on a Sky forum and they said the Sky Go app is not released yet. Probably something to do with Apple.

I can't believe they're only allowing 2 devices to be registered. facepalm
It makes no sense at all. They allowed 4 when it was Sky Player, then they add more compatible devices but reduce the max number you can have to 2.

I think you can have two streaming at the same time now though.

You can, but it's still shit. I alone intended on having it on my Xbox, Laptop and iPod, but I can't even do that and it also means nobody else in the house can use it.

I believe that was their original plan but they changed it.

What's more, if you're a Sky Sports customer you'll be able to watch all 5 Sky Sports channels on your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch. With Sky Go you can register up to two devices and watch on both at the same time.

    http://skyplayer.sky.com/vod/content/Home/Application_Navigation/Help/Service_Status/content/l/l/content/474/termsPage.do

I've already got my two registered and there are no more empty slots.
