No no, this is no Wimbledon fling this. This is the real thing. Anyway, have to dash, got a get shower, bag ready and then off to play a couple of sets of tennis, weather's not great though.
More Sabine talk later.

Played some superb stuff. 7-5 6-2.
I'm playing on a clay court tomorrow, which should be fun.

Cheers Jela, looked on loads of the sort of 'Grip guide' sites but none of them explained it well enough, but that one did. Im an 4 racket size.

Re: The tennis thread.
The actual strings part is longer on the Pulse on racquet, The grip is longer on the Venom. Personally, I'd go for the Venom but it's up to you.

Also IMO, the Venom looks fucking Sexy and the Pulse looks abit girly.

Really? I'd say it was the other way around. Still, get some white grip tape and it makes most racquets look 10 times better. Don't know why, just does.
If you're serious enough to be looking into the right grip size etc. I wouldn't bother looking at Sports Direct.
For a cheap one, it's best to look at old models from a place that has more choice & knows what they're talking about
http://www.tennisnuts.com/shop/tennis/tennis-rackets/under60.html
and here's a bit more info on what size/type to go for:

I looked at the site for Grip size but could understand it. I like the Viper racquet, but would white grip tape suit it?RobbieSavageIsA... wrote:Adz wrote:Also IMO, the Venom looks fucking Sexy and the Pulse looks abit girly.

Re: The tennis thread.
I thought they were everywhere Apparently not
Anyway, looks like there's loads of choice for grips on sportsdirect.com so I would imagine they've got some choice in store. If not, easy enough to order online from anywhere.

I've got a rubbish Slazenger one from JJB. Cost about £15 but it's not like it sees a huge amount of action anyway.

If you guys are talking about the shop, there is one in Glasgow. I would have though there would be one in most big UK cities.MickStupp wrote:Same here come to think of it.Danny wrote:I've only ever seen a Decathlon in France.RobbieSavageIsA... wrote:I thought they were everywhere Apparently not
