I know that this has been mentioned here before but since now all the Europa League spots are set I think it is time to revisit this. I am not sure this has happened before but it is an interesting story. Each of Alania's three games before the final ended 0-0 which they won on penalties. Then they played champions league qualified CSKA Moscow and finally scored a goal but by that point they were already qualified for the Europa League. Also a very interesting fack is they got a bye in the quarterfinals because the team they were going to face went bankrupt shortly before the game was to be played.

Yes they did score at the final but what I am saying is they were already qualified to the Europa League before the final since CSKA Moscow was qualified for the champions league. Therefore in this circumstance that goal was irrelevant.The Miz wrote:They scored a penalty therefore scored a goal.

I remember we beat them 10-3 on aggregate a little over 10 years ago.

This may actually not beat the easiest path to European football. FC Vaduz made the Europa League by winning the Liechtenstein Cup. They won this 17 team tournament every single year since 1998.Dan wrote:They got Europe and Loserpool didn't..
