I was going to blow the picture up to see if I could see any more down fingers in the background, but haven't done it yet. I am not so sure he is holding up three fingers.

If he really was flipping him the bird out in the open like that, wouldn't you expect more of a "fuck you old fart" look than a "wtf" look?

Depends. I don't know Luca Modric's temperament. If my manager walked up to me and just flipped me the bird I would be like WTF, followed by some rage, but the initial reaction would have been shock.

I (hope) he isn't flipping him the bird and since theres been no report of any bust up at WHL I can assume that Dena is right in his response. Nevertheless I find the picture interesting.

He's holding 3 finger up, look at his index finger, it's straight-ish and not fully bent at it would be if you stick up the middle finger, you can try it now, flip the bird and see how your index finger is bent and then hold up your three last fingers and see how you don't bend it as much.

You can clearly see another finger at the base of his thumb and the Tottenham supporter already confirmed that he did flip him the bird.
