Too tough to call really but Federer is far more fun to watch.

Re: The Big Debate.
Federer has 16 majors, Nadal has 10.
Federer has 4 years and 10 months of tennis on Nadal though.
Nadal will definitely surpass him in Grand Slam victories imo

Re: The Big Debate.
Federer is the greatest, Nadal is currently better than him though. I agree that Federer's far more fun to watch too. Nowadays tennis players just seem to be becoming more like athletes, bigger, stronger, quicker etc. Which I guess is the logical progression but it's a bit boring.
The only thing that will stop Nadal surpassing Federer (in number of slams) is either his dodgy knees or a bigger challenge from Murray, Djokovic and Del Potro.

Nadal. Only if he keeps away from injuries I think he'll win more grand slams.
His power, athleticism, muscle, anticipation, spin and defense are just class. Federer is the more "nicer" to watch. More graceful, classy backhands, better serve, volley and general versatility but I just love Rafa's enthusiasm and determination.

Seriously though, Federer has more moments where you're like "Fuck, how did he do that"

Re: The Big Debate.
Nadal's definitely benefited more from the way the game is evolving - slower courts, racket/string technology, etc.
That said, he's still improved massively over the past few years. Even when he was racking up his first few slams at the French Open he wasn't much of a factor on hard courts which is where the majority of the tour is played. Fed had pure domination.

Nadal just lost to Tsonga. Not sure why he bothers playing Queens when he never really has any intention of winning it...

Again, not sure why he even turns up. It's not even worth a lot of rankings points.

Re: The Big Debate.
You mentioned current, which was why I voted for Nadal. You cannot deny that he is streaks ahead of Federer at the moment.
For all time, I can accept that Federer is better.

I prefer Nadal. Federer has a bit more of that "wow" factor though.

Re: The Big Debate.
Not my opinion but from my Grandpa who is an avid tennis player. Nadal plays a power game so he will get worse with age while Federer plays with guile and skill so he can continue at the highest level while older.
By that logic Federer is better.

Re: The Big Debate.
I prefer Nadal, ever since i first him as an 18-year old and lost to Fed in five sets, i knew he'd be big. I like his power game, the amount of topspin he has is insane. Pure Power!

I don't know why but I've always hated Federer so Nadal.
