Going by just reading the last 2 pages of NFL playoff talk, I've come to the conclusion you don't know shit about football.

care to enlighten us with your clearly superior knowledge then?

Rambling on about how the Steelers are going to roll us in the Super Bowl. Apparently you missed us dismantle the 14-2 Falcons at their crib this year, 3 road wins in the playoffs.

The Steelers are the only team in the NFL with a defense better than the Packers, so theres not that much of an advantage there, they are 1 and 2 in scoring defense.
The Packers are much better on offense.

Also, spouting shit like this about a kid who is probably 18 right now:

yeah. He's Phillip's younger brother and just graduated high school and
committed to LSU, should take us to a national championship within the
    next 4 years

I don't know how closely you follow football, but to say that about a kid who has never taken a snap in college before just blurts out lack of experience with American football.

I will now close this post. I think LSU is tight, they always have sweet players. I just graduated from Iowa and I will leave you with a nice video from the last time our two teams met up: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h0OnvDbyGuQ&feature=related

God our unis and helmet are just pure sex
Just like the Steelers jerseys and helmets NFL - Page 14 18254

Yup. True story: I believe it was 1979 or 1980 when now legendary coach Hayden Fry became the head coach at the University of Iowa. We were not good at football during those times, and his quote was something along these lines: "If we're not gonna be champions, we're at least gonna look like champions", of course referencing the Steelers who were winning Super Bowls with Bradshaw and the gang.

Soon after Hayden took us to two Rose Bowls NFL - Page 14 13664

@ Freezer: Sorry man I have no beef with you but you seem to be the "What have I seen lately" fan. The last game isn't always the best indicator of what a team can or will do in the next game. I was rooting for the Jets because the Steelers are better, and we already beat the Jets 9-0 at their house.

Rodgers is hotter than any QB has ever been in the beginning games of their playoff careers in NFL history right now, despite what was an average game for him today. The Bears' defense is no slouch, in fact they are a very good defense, quite similar to Pittsburgh.

The Steelers cornerbacks are not very good, and our WR are very good. I expect our WRs to have good days all around.

The Packers will win the Super Bowl. The title is coming home to Title Town. Lombardi will soon be back where he belongs, in Green Bay with the rest of the legends.

Edit: As far as the recruiting of the kid to LSU goes, I don't know how familiar you are with American football and especially recruiting, its a strange beast. If you are somewhat new, I imagine you aren't exactly familiar with how everything works, similar to how I am relatively new to soccer and the transfer season almost gives me a headache.

The point of that ramble is that the recruiting stars and rankings mean absolutely jack shit. Yes, by all means get excited for players going to your school. But there are many-a 5 star recruits that dont do shit in college, because they cant adapt. Just give it time before you book those tickets to the National Title game is all.

    Drew Tate cheers

yeah man it's all good, I've been kicking around the internet long enough to know. Plus when you kick around on one forum with the same people for 5 years it gets weird when i sign up to a new one and forget that I'm still a n00b Embarassed

I did watch that 9-0 game, it was actually kinda painful at times and it's kind of amazing that both teams made the conference championships.

I know Rodgers is a shit hot QB but as i said before, he's also very hot and cold and while the Bears D did give him a bit of trouble but the Steelers D is better IMO and i don't expect Rodgers to do much better against them

Fair point about their CB's but i think a lot rests with Rodgers, he needs to step up in a big way and it'll be up to him on whether the Packers make a real match out of this and actually hit them and pick the match-ups

Oh I'm very familiar with recruitment of youngsters in general and he's not even nailed on to play for us until Feb 2nd and even then there's no guarantee that he'll actually be good but I have blind optimism and faith Very Happy

Ughhhhhhhhhh. So dissapointing to fail at the last hurdle, again.
I don't know what it was, hate to say it but it looked like a hang over from the New England game, we just game out so flat, and Pittsburgh just destroyed us. Still had confidence that we could make a run because we would get the ball back to start the second half, but 24 points it's just too big of lead to try to make up vs. perhaps the league's best defense. 17, 14, 10? Yeah, but 24, no way. Played extremly well in the second half, something to be proud of I guess, but just didnt have enough time to finish the comeback. Roethisberger didnt play that well over, but his mobiility sets him apart from Brady and Manning, the master of the broken play. Damn.

It was completely possible. Had it not been for a goaline stand, it may have happened. Wasn't that far off.

Yep. Steelers won the first half, Jets won the second. Unfortunately that goalline stand only ended with a safety and not 6.

Better team won though. Jets got smacked in the first half and then the Steelers just closed up shop in the second half. The Jets were the better team in the second half by default because the Steelers weren't trying to do anything but run the ball and eat the clock.
