Re: NFL
Yeah, we gotta stop their run game as well which has been better than usual this year (probably because of all the injuries to WRs) force Manning to beat us. Problem is he could do that easily.

Really? I think i've only seen indy once this year and they were awful running. I think it was against the Chargers, it was just Manning playing offense really. Addai wasn't playing though, must have been injured.

Re: NFL
Yeah that game they were behind quickly and Manning had to chuck it, threw like 4 INTs that game I think.
Seattle up 31-20, bloody hell. NFL.

Feel bad for Manning, didn't realise how exciting NFL could be when it goes down to the wire like that.

Re: NFL
2 shocks there. Thought Colts would win because of home advantage. Knew the Seahawks would give the Saints a game but I thought the Saints would win by 3. Seahawks pretty much took the spread and reversed it. Total shock
Patriots will still beat the Jets. They are the best team in the NFL, playing at home and the Jets luck has to run out soon

Re: NFL
Lynch broke 8 tackles in that run, really bad tackling by the Saints though. I can't believe the Seahawks STILL don't have a winning record. That's pretty messed up.
I bet when Peyton had the ball with 1:45 left you were bricking it

Re: NFL
For real, was pissed when we went for the killer ball on 3rd down. Cromartie's good KR gave me hope though.
I'm confident, last time we played the Patriots they came out with a whole new offense, it caught us out.
Rex knows what they are coming with this time.

Re: NFL
my season is now over! i'll probably stay up for the superbowl, but i watched my last game last night! im a Saints fan and it seemed we reverted to type yesterday! the defense (american sp.) just did'nt show up! we just didn't perform in coverage and when Lynch waltzed through it was embarassing. not a good day at the office.
oh well, back to reality for us Saints fans. hopefully our new found "support" will fuck off and follow another team.
nothing but gold 'n' black coarsing through these veins.
who dat 'til i die. (i'll be dining out on Superbowl XXIV (44 in English) for a while yet!)

Re: NFL
So I've been watching a fair amount of NFL now I'm at uni (not sure why it happens like that, but it does) and there's one thing I'm noticing more and more. Why do the players celebrate every time they make a play? If the defense simply tackles a running back they celebrate, christ if they actually sack the QB they go fucking mental. Same with offense, if they get to first down they'll celebrate at the end of the phase. Its just a bit unnecessary and I can't understand it. It doesn't happen in any other team sport I can think of. Fair enough celebrating when you score and its passable if the QB makes a 50 yard throw I guess but I can't see why they do it for every play?

Re: NFL
I have no idea, ego's maybe. I've always noticed it but never really commented on it.
Surprised the Eagles lost, although I love A. Rodgers and the Packers D, wanted to see Vick go back to Atlanta too...
Divisional rounds:
New England - New York
Pittsburgh - Baltimore
Atlanta - Green Bay
Chicago - Seattle

I watched the last 5 minutes but Akers two misses proved to play a big part in the end result, unlucky for the Eagles.

Vick shouldn't have tried to go for it all at the end there. Oh well, dude is getting paid this summer (if there is a season in 2011 of course).

Glad the Packers knocked out Vick and the Eagles. I fucking hate that dog molesting wanker.

Looks like all home teams should go through. Green Bay are playing well but the Falcons are probably the 2nd best team in the NFL behind the Patriots. Will be too tough for Green Bay and their away record IMO. Ravens are a good team but Steelers at home and their defense should limit the Ravens to a lowish score 24 - 13 Steelers

I think it's because they get so fired up for every single play, when it comes off they get really excited.

Yeah. Should be a good game. Oregon have a really quick offense so I wouldnt put it past them to be the first team to beat Auburn this season. Should be a close game
Id take Oregon +3 on the spread

Re: NFL
I haven't had any desire to watch the game after the debacle last Monday, but I will end up watching the game of course. I'm hoping for a Oregon win, mainly based on the fact that I live with a couple of SEC homers (Virginia Tech grads though, of course).
But I think Auburn will win, making it the fifth straight SEC national champion (Florida, LSU, Florida, Alabama).

I'm back at uni now so I don't get espn, so can't really, unless I go for a stream. Don't know much about college football but I've heard of Cam Newton, he won a Heisman didn't he?
