Re: Santiago Cazorla
It all depends on how many 'days' he has really. Consistency is key.

Re: Santiago Cazorla
Most players can be world class "on their day"... Fact is most players don't have that day often.

He's a very good player but not one of the world's best
He had a fantastic season, but the term world class gets thrown around too easily nowadays.

Most people will probably just agree with what the likes of Aaron and Jamie say as they watch La Liga the most, I'd like to know how many of them have actually watched him consistently throughout the season.

I can't think of many wingers better than him. Can play well in a central role too.

I'm not saying he's like Ballon d'Or quality, just that he's a great player who gets overlooked a lot.
Villarreal have some great technical players in their team.

Agreed, one could say that about every decent player around.El_indian wrote:I think the key phrase is 'on his day'.

Because there are plenty of players in La Liga who can be world class "on their day" as well, Navas, Mata, Pablo Hernandez, Piatti, Reyes, Capel, Perotti to start with, Cazorla has been La Liga's best winger for me this season, but that doesn't make him one of the world's best yet, he hasn't been consistent enough imo.Fine Shagger wrote:Gegilworld93 wrote:He's a very good player but not one of the world's best

Post void for including Capel tbh.

I'd agree too. Although Santi offers a different threat to Navas.

He's very talented, hasn't had the best of seasons, but my point stands about the rest.Fine Shagger wrote:Gegilworld93 wrote:Agreed, one could say that about every decent player around.El_indian wrote:I think the key phrase is 'on his day'.

It's a fair point. Still think he has the edge over most of them(maybe not Navas and Mata) when it comes to consistency though.
As for Capel I don't even think he's talented, he's fast but that's it. Looked like he had potential when he first broke through but hasn't developed much since then imo.

This, I had high hopes for him but he didn't live up, Perotti is better anyway.
