I just want you to explain to me why the best nation in the world haven't done anything since they won the trophy?SBSP wrote:

Re: United States vs. Spain
To be honest nothing matters since they won the trophy, they've only played friendlies and Euro qualifiers, I'm almost sure they're undefeated in the Euro qualifiers and the friendlies arent worth anything so they shouldn't matter.

They've won all of their qualifiers. Friendlies count for diddly squat.

Friendlies count in the fifa standing you posted idiot.SBSP wrote:They've won all of their qualifiers. Friendlies count for diddly squat.
Oh and qualifiers against Lithuania, Estonia and they barely beat Scotland.
Friendlies might not be important but no champions loses terribly to Argentina, Portugal and then draw with Mexico and get outclassed at HOME against Colombia.

If friendlies are so important, why are they still top?chiboygeorge wrote:Friendlies count in the fifa standing you posted idiot.SBSP wrote:They've won all of their qualifiers. Friendlies count for diddly squat.

Re: United States vs. Spain
Spain will fade away, world cup winners always suck the next time around, see Italy in this WC. Spains losses to Portugal, Argentina and poor play against Mexico and Columbia gives me the feeling that they are slipping

FIFA ranking don't decide which team is better, because if that's the case...England is better than Italy and France?SBSP wrote:If friendlies are so important, why are they still top?chiboygeorge wrote:Friendlies count in the fifa standing you posted idiot.SBSP wrote:They've won all of their qualifiers. cause the other powerhouse countries close to the top have lost as well, Argentina got crushed by Nigeria and tied USA, England tied Switzerland, Holland lets up too many goals to teams like Hungary, etc, nobodies been overly impressive. Next summer some teams will make waves in EURO

The rankings are distorted though. England and Uruguay above Portugal is comedic.

The showing USA v England on FSC...the USA players (Lalas, Reyna, Jones) have the best haircuts.
