Fucking hell, I didn't think those rumours would be true. Terrible signing.

I'm sure he'll be a pure squad player, he's very versatile as well, can play on either wing, central midfield and also right back. Not too bad a signing imo, Real signed worse players already (Faubert, Woodgate )
He's not going to play, he's there for the lols and to make the Germans feel at home

Still it could be worse, could sign Faubert.

Re: La Liga 10/11
They won't win it without Marcelo.
Why?
Because without Marcelo:
Argentina 3-0 Brazil
1-0 Higuaín
2-0 Higuaín
3-0 Higuaín
With Marcelo:
Argentina 0-1 Brazil
0-1 Marcelo
Now who will stop El Pipita? Nobody.

Lucas? I'm pretty sure we all saw what happened last time they played each other.

Seriously though Marcelo should be there, I don't rate Andre Santos.

Barcelona match squad vs Málaga: Pinto, Oier, Alves, Adriano, Bartra, Fontas, Abidal, Maxwell, Mascherano, Busquets, Dos Santos, Keita, Sergi Roberto, Thiago, Afellay, Pedro, Bojan and Jeffren.
I quite like Altintop. Sure he will be useful within the squad and coming off the bench, versatile is nothing else.

No Messi, phewwwwww. Had a feeling he'd demand to be played.

Re: La Liga 10/11
So De La Pena has announced his retirement. I remember watching him years ago thinking, wow this guy could be one of the best in the world in this position. It's a shame injuries got the better of him, terrific player. His vision and passing skills at times....
He said that
He also stated that he would like to stay in football in some capacity:
He said that
"I would’ve liked to have played more these years but, unfortunately, because of the injuries I haven’t been able to. I want to thank everyone for all the support I’ve received. My head would like to continue, but my body has said enough.”
He also stated that he would like to stay in football in some capacity:
"I hope to go onto the pitch once again, after so much time, and say goodbye from the centre of the field. Saturday’s will be my most difficult game. It will be tough but also nice. I’m hoping to enjoy Saturday, to say goodbye on the pitch if the coach puts me on. Then we’ll see. I would like to continue in the world of football, because it’s what I’ve always done, but now I want to be with my family.”

Re: La Liga 10/11
Really hope Deportivo and Getafe both avoid relegation tonight, it isn't very likely though seeing as Zaragoza are playing a Levante team with no real motivation, and as long as Zaragoza win it means both Deportivo and Getafe need to win to stay up.
Really annoyed that tonights Atléti game is in Mallorca, wish we were at home for this game. If we do better than either Sevilla or Bilbao tonight we're in the Europa league next season.

In Europa League already aren't you? Though an earlier stage than if you get above either...
