I was just gonna say that they're always fatter and slower than the beer bellies they're trying to apprehend. But if ya think about it, we only see these videos if the streaker makes a relatively succesful go. We never see the ones where the guy gets tackled within a few seconds of jumping on the pitch.

That's cause they never get tackled within a few seconds, hell, even the World Cup guys were poor.

They do sometimes. We don't see it because nobody has time to get the camera rolling and/or it's not eventful. A saw a guy try to streak at a Tiger game at Comerica. Didn't even make it to the foul line.

All they did was try to push him off, a job that the Stewards should have been doing.

Yes, the stewards should have been doing it, but that is no excuse for the players. Unfortunately Webb was influenced by the crowd.

Lucas should be lauded for his bravery, if a indecent man was running towards me and attempted to harm me I would freeze. However, Lucas stands still and takes one for the entire stadium, who knows what he was capable of doing had he not been stopped.

I wasn't focusing on an irrelevant detail. A Liverpool player committed violent conduct, and Howard Webb, who supposedly is an enemy of Liverpool, didn't send him off. That's more blatant favoritism than any marginal penalty decision.
