Genuine question. No trollo.

Why has Torres been cut some slack because he scored a goal against West Ham.

Before that, he was the butt of all jokes. "50 mil and no goals lololol" "shit" etc etc.

He's my problem:

Why is 0 goals in 10 games worthy of getting ripped, but 1 goal in 15 is not?

Before anyone kneejerks over Carroll, I will put that to bed early.

Torres = 50m = 1:15
Carroll = 35m = 2:7

Except he still does get ripped

Just doesn't suit Chelsea's style, add in that he was overpriced, he's overpaid and he's past his best. It doesn't bode well for Mr.Torres, but I suspect he's got an eye on next season really.

One thing is interesting though, I don't know who's worse. Us for valuing at £50m or Chelsea for fucking paying it.

To me, he looks greasy, as if he hasn't bathed for a while. Maybe that's his problem?

Anyway, that's not true. Plenty of people still give plenty of shit. Chelsea isn't exactly a small club. And there was plenty of fervor when he hadn't scored at all. But like I said before: he's still every bit the spectacle.

Is it? Why is it so obvious? Ever since the World Cup it's been "obvious" that Torres would eventually get back into devastating form. It's been almost a year and it hasn't happened. And it hasn't looked like it's about to happen.

Double standards - that's my point.... After Torres left people were burning his shirts in the streets, people on here had signatures about him, there were chants made up, photoshopped pictures etc. I just don't see how they can justify all the abuse and claim that they're not bitter
