Aww man, I love them both. Ozil has more of an impact on Madrid I think, because Iniesta is a bit overshadwed by Xavi a bit. I think as time goes on Ozil will post better stats that Iniesta had over his career, because he will be the main focus of Madrid's forward moving attack (aside Ronaldo of course, Alonso obvious controls the mid/deep game). But stats can't compare these players, both have amazing vision, fantastic technique, Iniesta's control on the ball in tight space is second to none imo (even Messi). I don't know who to call, I assume Andres is more 'popular' , but watching Ozil over the past three years with Werder/Germany/Madrid have convinced me that he is amongst the worlds premier attacking midfielders.

Iniesta is still better than Oezil, but I think Oezil is ahead at his current age than Iniesta was at 22. Although that is certainly debatable, of course.

I agree with Lux on most part on this post, besides the encouraging how Barca play. It's very difficult to play like Barca and if you can get a team that plays like Barca then you can very much dominate every game.
I definitely agree that pass count isn't everything as well as would rather have Iniesta than Xavi.

is this a joke thread? Iniesta by miles, and I like Ozil but he is nowhere near Iniesta, not even in the same neighborhood.

They're not carbon-copy identical replicas of each other. Thus, cannot compare (that seems to be the standard that's usually applied around here).

Seriously though, Ozil will eventually be better than Iniesta is now, but not yet.
