Juninho Pernambucano and Vasco da Gama Captur11

Today Juninho officially left to return to Vasco da Gama, the club he previously played at for 7 years. That's not the news though. Conscious of Vasco's financial situation, the 36 year old agreed to wages of 600 Reais (Brazilian dollar) per month. The minimum wage in Brazil is 545 Reais. Although he will earn bonuses, and is entitled to a cut of future player contracts. That aside, it is still quite astonishing, especially in light of the wages he was earning in the Middle East. The reason he gave was simple:

"I come back earning the minimum wage because I need to be fair to the fans."

    What a classy move.

He was always a class dude. Sucked that he left Lyon, but I tip my hat to him for this classy move.

That being said he will make a lot of money because Vasco has plenty of talent that comes through their doors so if he is getting a future cut that works out nicely for him.

No pound sign on our keyboards. Shift + 3 is #. I remember someone mentioning the pound sign thing on here once.
