When I went to the Emirates stadium tour, they said all the players had to speak English. There was only 1 room in the stadium where they could speak there own language, and they were only allowed in there after the match to speak to their wife & children etc.

Lucas is probably more intelligent than Anderson and actually wanted to learn the language, fuck me because Lucas has why hasn't Anderson?
Disgrace, imo he should leave the country because of it, shocking.
He should actually, this is the sort of problem the UK has at the minute.
The problem the UK has is people sitting at home unemployed, taking benefits. Not foreigners coming into the country actually prepared to work.
So don't be a xenophobic prick.

It's not awful, but it's a bit lazy to not learn English. Also, it means he can't really join in with the banter at the club amongst the English players. Which leads me to believe he is probably quite a quiet person who goes home straight after training/matches etc, and doesn't chat with the lads. Unless they can speak the same language as him ofc, like the twins.

No one remembers Anderson's interview with Ronaldo after we won the league in '09 then?

I'm sure they translate between each other and it works just about fine, don't worry yourself.

You have to be kidding, nearly all footballers on his wage have a very nice little tax fiddle going on involving a certain Swiss bank.
Paying us nothing pal.

Even so though, it's not like he's just getting house benefits all that shit whilst doing nothing, he's earning the money by being in football.Moorzy2911 wrote:kyro7 wrote:Don't be silly, look how much money he's paying to England in taxes.Moorzy2911 wrote:kyro7 wrote:So fucking what, who gives a flying fuck?

Anichebe one wasn't a peno.
Evans peno was, but Valencia was in the ref's eyeline, and he can't give the penalty if he doesn't see what happened.

That wasn't his question, do you make the trip up from London once or twice a year?

Not so much a match goer like you.. like every home game, but I do go to games, though it's pretty hard when I'm not with my dad.Zzonked wrote:Is there any season ticket holidng United fans on here out of interest?
He's the match goer.
EDIT: No, I'm not a season ticket holder.

When you combine the pundits' opinion with basically everyone elses opinion apart from the Man Utd fans you know you're on to something...Danny wrote:Aye, the pundits are always right aren't they.Hitchy wrote:Even the Sky commentators were saying it was a blatant pen... says a lot reallykyro7 wrote:Barges him to ground.Hitchy wrote:Fucking hell, he was running at pace and then Ferdinand puts his arm across him and barges him to the ground. Fair enough, was just wondering if we have any. My Uncle has one, it's a lot of money really.

Okay, stop the fucking presses, I can understand Anderson not being confident enough to speak English yet, learning a new language can be very difficult for some people others can pick it up real fast. It's easy to say, "oh they should know blah blah blah by now been here for ever" when you've never actually tried to learn a new language yourself.
But back to what I was going to say, was Hernandez translating for Anderson? When the fuck did Hernandez pick up Portuguese?

He was horrendous.
I expect centre midfielders to be able to pass to team mates. Basic stuff and Anderson can't do it.
Not as bad as you're making out, and take in mind he was hitting crosses and long passes.
I don't think you should take up opinions on our players because you let your feelings get the better of you, he wasn't amazing, but he played alright.
His running forward was big for us as well.

He probably either learned it in school, like he did with English, or it's similar enough to Spanish that he can get by.

At first you think it'll seem like a good deal/cheap. Then it's like £680 for the ticket, then the cup games come into it (get a home game in any cup then money is automatically taken out of the account), which is another £30 a game, been 10 cup games on average last few seasons which is another £300. Occasional away game and travel then drinks before the game and after etc... Sets you back quite a bit.
When Hernandez started translating I was like -
