Same. Something about White Hart Lane against us lately and the fact they're still fighting for 4th spot puts a downer on the game for us.Mal wrote:Least confident I've ever been before playing the scum.

It's not hard to win or snatch a draw against us though. Just put men behind the ball and counter.

Spurs aren't all that, they've been drawing against rubbish teams a lot lately and got whooped by Real (no shame in that mind).

It's a derby game though, form is irrelevant.Zzonked wrote:Spurs aren't all that, they've been drawing against rubbish teams a lot lately and got whooped by Real (no shame in that mind).

I was strangely more confident for this game last year than I am tonight, but I think however scores first will win. And I reckon both sides will score so 2-1 will be the scoreline, which way round I have no idea. I expect pretty much the same side as Real but Crouch to start.

Looking forward to this game from my neutral point of view, but not looking forward to it because Arsenal will win.

What makes you say that Arsenal will win? It's not certain anymore, especially at White Hart Lane.kyro7 wrote:Looking forward to this game from my neutral point of view, but not looking forward to it because Arsenal will win.

At the top of your attack you'll have Crouch or Defoe, neither good enough for a lone striker role.
They have Van Persie, absolutely class.
Arsenal will win.

But Bale will beastify it, so it doesn't matter.kyro7 wrote:Striker.easley91 wrote:What makes you say that Arsenal will win? Seriously, I do agree with that but I just have a feeling this is the night Defoe finally scores. As long as Crouch can win the headers and lay them off for the midfield and VDV I think we'll be fine, but we need to score first IMO.

Thing is mate, we can all look back to last season but this was Arsenal's team:
01 Almunia
03 Sagna (Walcott 52)
05 Vermaelen (Silvestre 20)
22 Clichy
27 Eboue
31 Campbell
02 Diaby
07 Rosicky
08 Nasri
15 Denilson (Van Persie 68)
52 Bendtner
From 20 minutes they had Silvestre and Campbell!
Denilson Rosicky Diaby etc.. Bendtner up front.
They will not have a shit team like that now, they will have their strongest team near enough..
And it's too good for Spurs.

We beat them at the Emirates this season though and in a derby anything can happen no matter the squads strength. We'll most likely put out: Gomes, Corluka, Dawson, Gallas, Assou-Ekotto, Lennon, Modric, Huddlestone, Bale, VDV, Crouch/Defoe - that to me is a pretty good line-up and one that can match them tonight. I'm not saying we'll beat them comfortably but we can beat them with that line-up. I wouldn't underestimate us, especially in a derby under the lights at White Hart Lane.

Stop jinxing it you cunt.
But yea, last season we had a verrrry average team out. But when RvP came on, he destroyed Spurs and almost won us the match on his own even though he hadn't played for 5 months
This season it should be:
-------------- Szezsney --------------
Sagna - Djourou - Koscielny - Clichy
----------- Song -- Diaby -----------
---- Walcott -- Fabregas -- Nasri ----
------------- van Persie -------------
Sagna - Djourou - Koscielny - Clichy
----------- Song -- Diaby -----------
---- Walcott -- Fabregas -- Nasri ----
------------- van Persie -------------
Bench:
Lehmann
Eboue
Gibbs
Wilshere
Ramsey/Rosicky
Bendtner
Chamakh
After reading what Wenger said I think he'll rest Wilshere.

Great line up, but imo Arsenal will be too strong with:
Something like that.
Van Persie
Nasri----Fabregas----Walcott
Wilshere-Song
Clichy---Koscielny---Djourou---Sagna/Eboue
Chesney

Why would Wenger rest Wilshere in a must win game? It gives us confidence if he does but why rest him?

Because he's played most our games this season, and he wants to rotate Diaby, Wilshere and Song so they don't pick up injuries.
In fairness, Diaby isn't a massive step down, and he will add more steel and height even though Wilshere is a fighter.
He might not rest him, but that's just what I got from his press conference.

It could be mind games from Wenger. But I can understand wanting to rest him, so I guess we'll see who's picked tonight.arsenalap11 wrote:easley91 wrote:Why would Wenger rest Wilshere in a must win game? It gives us confidence if he does but why rest him?

I can't wait for it, let's just hope it's not a boring 0-0!

Diaby against Liverpool was shite and also against Blackpool despite his good run and goal. Resting Wilshere should not be an option, the title isn't over yet and we must play our full strength squad if possible. Diaby in a French kit is outstanding, but for us he's just not the same.
Sagna should be back hopefully.

Diaby was not shite, he played okay in both games, his strength and running on the ball is superb imo.19Jones19v wrote:Diaby against Liverpool was shite and also against Blackpool despite his good run and goal. 1 – Tottenham have managed just one clean sheet in their last 30 games against Arsenal in all competitions. Breached.

But we've won the last two league meetings, and as long as you score more than the opposition it doesn't matter about clean sheets. I would prefer a clean sheet but if we win, then I'm happy with the win.kyro7 wrote:Diaby was not shite, he played okay in both games, his strength and running on the ball is superb imo.19Jones19v wrote:Diaby against Liverpool was shite and also against Blackpool despite his good run and goal. Hopefully we can continue our good away form tonight.Looks like we have nearly full strength squad now just missing Fabianski and Vermaelen.
