The only reason people question Cole is because he's so consistent, he just does the job week in week out, I've never seen him have a bad game

Yes Baines has had a good season, but he's just been flashier than Cole, also people like to see someone new do well thats probably why Baines has so much support

Yeah, he had a real good game against the reserves. Tearing it up.

Don't joke about Cherundolo though. He is one of the biggest reasons why an average Hannover side are just a point outside of CL qualification.

You're probably right there Sean. Cole gets into this team every season, would've nice to see Baines in there after the season he has had.

Team of the year based on Opta's stats..

    B.Foster, B.Sagna, J.Terry, N.Vidic, G.Clichy, M.Essien, C.Adam, S.Nasri, Nani, C.Tevez, D.Berbatov

Clichy & Essien? What the fuck have they done to get there? Laughing

Shows how stats don't prove everything.

Evra hasn't been good enough for this, Fletcher has been terrible, Arteta has been beyond terrible and Adam hasn't been good in months.

I know Evra has had a poor season by his standards, but Cole hasn't been that great.

And he's going mad at that, when you look at the second line and it's absolute mindless stuff, Fletcher hasn't played enough and when he has he hasn't been great, been average.

Arteta.. well to my mind he's been poor then he had a decent few games and got injured or something, Parker I don't rate highly as others, hate him as well.

    Adam.. facepalm

If we sign Adam I'll cut myself.

Crosses yes. Free kicks and penalties no. A LB's job is to defend firstly, then go forward and provide crosses and support. Set pieces is not part of a LB's job, and shouldn't count when trying to find the best LB this season.

Well in the premier league this season Baines has 11 assists and 4 goals compared to Cole's 3 assists and 0 goals. Baines at the very worst has only been on par defensively with Cashley this season as well, although I (and I'm sure plenty others) think that he has been much better

(While I know he has played a lot of games) Using that as a way to compare isn't all that impressive. I've almost played the same amount of games as some of the Arsenal players, and I haven't suited up for them this season.
