The MLS teams are what made me make this thread, to be honest there are a lot of American teams like this from other sports, off the top of my head lets see;
Los Angeles Angels are in Orange County.
Tampa Bay Rays are in St. Petersberg.
New York Giants and New York Jets both in Jersey.
Dallas Cowboys in Arlington.
Buffalo Bills in Orchard Park.
Washington Redskins in a town I'm not even going to attempt to spell, starts with an Hy I think.
oh and the Pistons play in Auburn Hills.
Oh and the LA Raiders playing in Oakland.

The Pittsburgh Riverhounds play in Bridgeville rather than Pittsburgh. I think that is like 5 miles south of Pittsburgh. Most American teams are not in the city they represent.

Oh right, Philadelphia Union not only is in the city of Chester rather than Philadelphia,but is actually infact closer to Delaware than Philadelphia.
