I'm not a big fan of conspiracy theories. Just underlines the fact that many people mistrust their government, sometimes leading to paranoia. That's not to say I take everything at face value, there may be certain cases where something isn't quite right, but most conspiracy theories have little evidence and I tend to dismiss them.

Yeah, I didn't mean there couldn't be people like that, and I get that freemasonry exists, but to think that there's an organised group in charge of a New World Order, I won't say it's completely out of the question, but it's highly unlikely. Especially when you consider the other theories David Icke has.
I've seen websites proclaim a connection between the "Illuminati" and atheism and that the goal of the Illuminati is to destroy Christianity, trying to convince you join their religion to stop the Order. I reckon it's just scaremongering, and Christianity certainly knows how to do that.
