Finally we managed to score against Barcelona again, Copa del Rey:
Casillas
Arbeloa-Ramos-Carvalho-Marcelo
Pepe-Khedira
Cristiano-Özil-Di María
Higuaín
That's what got you pummeled in the first place. Same formation, different people for me:
Casillas
Arbeloa-Ramos-Carvalho-Marcelo
Pepe
Cristiano--Khedira-Alonso-Özil
Higuaín
Arbeloa-Ramos-Carvalho-Marcelo
Pepe
Cristiano--Khedira-Alonso-Özil
Higuaín
That would set up a great game. Barca with all their possession today, could have easily lost this game.

I wasn't pleased with Alonso's performance today so I decided to take him out but yeah the above one would work.

Gordon's line up makes the most sense, and is probably what Mou will go with in both the Copa and CL (since Albiol is sus. for the Copa, Carvalho for CL) it'll be interesting if Pep tries to counter that tactically, Pepe did a great job of clogging up the lines between midfield and attack (where Messi lives, and Iniesta/Pedro occasionally occupy) don't think he will though..

Yeah, I agree he didn't play well, but if you're going rely on the counter, Alonso is your man. He's still the only great passer you have in midfield.

Contacts, you need them.

I remember when the game started you said that Madrid were very narrow without possession. It never really made a difference with only Alves being the only one providing width, and he didn't even look to stretch the game. That's one thing Pep could improve on for Wednesday I think.
