Is 'The Hangover' really that funny?

Alot of people say it is the funniest movie of all time.
I thought it was shit
It was more interesting than funny TBH, i was kinda intrigued to know what happened that night, to describe it as an anti-climax is a huge understatement..
I'm interested in your opinions...

It isn't hilarious in the way American Pie or Harold and Kumar for example are, but it's definitely a must-watch comedy. Wouldn't be surprised if 20 years from now it is viewed as a good comedy from our era.

Wasn't even the funniest comedy that year. Just another one of those "comedies" that tries too hard.

agreed, it tries wayy too hard to funny, the crazy situations were over the top lame - wtf is so funny about the tiger and the chicken etc.

that Zach guy ain't even funny

I think it was pretty funny. Not "laugh all the way through funny" but a great movie nonetheless IMO.

There is no match for Zack Galifianakis. His mannerisms are over the top, but just absolutely brilliant.

It was pretty shit in terms of comedy its really only the americans who find it funny.

I thought it was funny, nothing special. I wasn't exactly laughing my arse off all the way through it like everyone else seems to do.

Best movie of recent years, so fucking funny, looking forward on the second one.

Grown Ups was way better.

One of the best comedy films of the generation.

It was a great movie, but I agree with the OP in that it's overrated. I've heard people say it's the funniest comedy ever. Sorry, but I've seen a lot funnier movies in my life.

haven't seen it but the old Adam Sandler movies are classic - Happy Gilmore, Billy Madison, Big Daddy

the new ones not so much - though they're still funny

Hangover was funnier than Grown Ups, but not by much.
