He was wasted for England. They wasted him by playing him on the left when he was a superb central midfielder/second striker, in order to accommodate inferior players. He didn't have the pace to play there, it's not surprising that he retired. If Capello had bothered to call him more than a few hours before selecting his squad maybe he would have returned, England would have been much much better in the World Cup, he was what England were crying out for.

Can't stand Scholes, think he was/is a twat, but he was a decent player. He's a bit of a liability now, the number of yellows he gets these days is a joke and I'm surprised he hasn't seriously hurt more players.

Well you cant argue with absolute class whatever team the play for and the Likes of Scholes and Giggs and the likes should go down as Legends after what these players have done and none of them seek the limelight. And Henry is another who well was just absolute class they should all go down as Legends IMO and should up there with the Greatest players who i have ever seen playing in the British game.
