At the moment Hereford are trying to get fans thoughts on goal music and most are against it, personally i'm not sure.

Goal Music
What's your thoughts on goal music? Do you think it boosts the atmosphere or do you think it gets in the way of fans making a racket by themselves?

Re: Goal Music
Against it. Seems like a very lower league club sort of thing. Find it cringeworthy when done in the Premier League tbh.

Re: Goal Music
No, it's awful. Any team should be able to create it's own atmosphere when celebrating goals, cheesy music should not feature. Teams that use it are considered tinpot clubs as well.

Re: Goal Music
Worst I've heard it is at Stevenage. The speakers were way too noisy so the goal music was making some sort of crackling noise. Had to hear it 4 times.
And in answer to the question is I don't like goal music. Prefer to hear a natural crowd cheer then some shit song being played over the top of the crowd. Just has a very plastic feel to it.

Re: Goal Music
It depends on the song, and how long they play the music for.
Usually a goal should keep chanting going for a few minutes (at least) anyway so 20 seconds of music shouldn't hurt.

I'm feeling pretty smug, guessed what tune that was without knowing the name of it.

I don't mind it on T.V., but it would really bug me at a stadium.

In greece whenever olympiakos score a goal in their own ground the anthem of the club is played. To be honest I like it,it makes a great atmosphere along with the fans singing.

Re: Goal Music
Gornik Zabrze play their theme song(club's 'song' not random pop music) when they score, and personally I think it takes away from the atmosphere, but it's part of Gornik tradition.

Awful. I would be embarassed if we ever brought in something like that.
It shows that you're shit at celebrating a goal..
