    Also this match has firmly reassured my view that De Jong is one of the best DM's, if not the best, in the world.

    I like that he can actually pick out a pass as well.

    He's definitely one of the best defensively. His passing is usually more an outlet than to start an attack though. He's never going to play many defense splitting balls.

    I recall him making a defence splitting pass earlier in the season. I don't recall who it was against, but I swear it did happen.

    I've watched him every week and you're talking shite. He had a run of about 5 games recently when he played poor but has otherwise been excellent.
