Better known by his stage name, "Novi Novak" is an American rapper. He started battle rapping in school and on the Chicago neighborhood streets trying to find his own niche in the world of music.
After realizing battles don't get you much further than street credibility, he started learning song structure and all key song making essentials (recording, editing, mixing). He assembled his own make shift recording studio and experimented until he felt it was right.
After 3 long years he determined it was time to show the world what he was about and in June 2010, he released a "Ransom Freestyle" claiming it was to show his lyrical abilities on a Young Money beat. The video received 250,000 total views/plays in it's first 2 months online and over 40,000 downloads and his loyal fan base began to take off which caught the attention of some small independent finacial backers.
In November 2010 after a few more songs were released and lengthy negotiations with his backers Swag City Records was officially born with Novi Novak leading the way.
To date he is working very hard to meet his own goals and the expectations of his fans releasing his first mixtape on March 1, 2011. He is scheduled to begin working on his first full album the latter part of March with a projected release date sometime the summer of 2011. He hopes that his tour starts shortly after. Expectations are high amongst his 1000's of daily growing fans.

13/4/11 NEWS: Novi Novak annouced on STICKAM that his producer as been getting death threats etc. to stop working with Novi Novak. His producer has had his home broken into, while he was still in the house. also before the person who had broken in to his house ran off he took a picture of the producers girlfriend. The police were called but thought they were crazy because there were no evidence. Novi added that he will not be scared into signing a deal with them (who ever the are (subspected to be the lable that his producer used to work for who Novi rejected)) It also appears that these people are above the law and only ever seem to "scare" his producer when novi is not with him. (quote: Because Novi will rip off there arm and beat the fuck out of them with it)
