Re: Luis Fabiano joins Sao Paulo
Not surprised, he's been a lost soul at Seville for a long time now.
Hope he gets back to his unplayable best.

Re: Luis Fabiano joins Sao Paulo
I mentioned during the Sevilla game that I expected him to leave because of his poor form.
Edit: Where did you here it was official. SS just saying that a bid has been tabled.

I wish I was Samuel Delany. I was on the Santos website one day a couple of weeks ago and I saw her. I honestly don't remember where. If you really are interested, I think she should be at this link. Search to your heart's content.

Re: Luis Fabiano joins Sao Paulo
It is believed that Sao Paulo have agreed to pay Sevilla around 12 million euros (16.62 million dollars) for the 30 year-old striker, who has been keen to return to Brazil for several months now.
Luis Fabiano joined Sevilla from FC Porto in 2006 and helped them to win two UEFA Cups and two Spanish King's Cups, scoring 106 goals for them. He formed a lethal partnership with French veteran Frederic Kanoute.
The sale of the club's top striker has been greeted angrily by the Sevilla fans. Sevilla are in disappointing seventh place in the Spanish Liga and are already out of the Europa League. dpa ds aw Author: Duncan Shaw

Re: Luis Fabiano joins Sao Paulo
even though luis fabiano is perhaps at his peak or just past it, brasilian clubs is showing they are now becoming more financially viable the can bring these players back to brasil and offer decent money, not same money as europe like fabiano previously on 110k euro a week, but they can offer something very decent plus brasilians will always prefer to play in brasil than anywhere else like elano, fred and many morei should be mention etc
i can see brasilian players being even more expensive in the future and the brasilian national league becoming even more stronger, currentl;y i would say it is 5th strongest league in the world, but with the increased financial situation of many clubs it will only get even better

Re: Luis Fabiano joins Sao Paulo
Champions League teams would've taken him on as a star player and paid him high wages so I'm fairly surprised he's gone back to Brazil when he has more years in Europe in him.

What happened to Ricardo Olivera? Was he only on loan?

Re: Luis Fabiano joins Sao Paulo
Went chasing the money to somewhere in the Middle East. Reminds me of when he left Zaragosa for Betis for some reason. Zaragoza got promoted and Betis got relegated.
Sao Paulo have a really good team TBH. Best central defense in Brazil with Alex Silva and Miranda plus players like Marlos, Lucas etc. They'll make a good push this year.
