For Liverpool, the Reds will have Kelly unavailable, and Aurelio a doubt meaning Agger may be taking up the left back position. This could allow Nani an easy day down the right. Meireles is touch and go, and Carroll will probably be benched.

For United, Vidic is suspended and Ferdinand is doubtful, meaning the centre backs may be inexperienced but talented Chris Smalling, and Wes Brown.

My prediction, because of the unconvincing Manchester United defence, and because Howard Webb is not refereeing is:

Liverpool 1-1 Manchester United.
