What a load of shite. If cricket, rugby can get it spot on, why can't football?

What about that one with the chip in the ball....the guys who were behind it said there was an INSTANT result..........how can instant be too slow?
Likes sound they're just trying to slow down the process and pretend they tried.

We all know FIFA don't want it, or at least Blatter doesn't. It's probably a load of crap they've made up.

FIFA want a result to the referee within 1 SECOND of the incident. It's impossible, and they're deliberately doing it.

Didn't FIFA want it on some bullshit terms, like, as soon as the decision is debatable, they want the referee to be able to find out within 1 second after it. Apparently, it was such a stupid thing to ask for, even HawkEye didn't take part in the test because they thought that the terms were bull.

Incidents on the goal line don't happen that often anyway, so a small delay wouldn't be that bad

They are fucking stupid.. the only "System" you need is a referee watching the same replay everyone else in the country does about 2 seconds after it happens.

It's not like they waste 2 minutes sorting out all the fuss the players cause, asking officials etc....
What is a few seconds of our time when it can decide the result of the whole game

Dunno. Ask Sepp 'Football should be in the Dark Ages' Blatter.

Isn't that why there are refs on the back line in Europe league and CHL ?
The only good argument I can find for not using goal line technology, is that the game is played by the same rules, in a sunday league match, as they are in a CHL or world cup final.
One second, is, as far as I know, quite possible. It depends on how long time it takes to send the signal from the goal to the ref.

Quicker Blatter is gone, the better.

Fuck goal line technology. They should just do what the NFL does. Each team gets 1 review each half. If they win the review then they are not charged for it but if the review confirms the decision was correct then they are charged for it and cant use another review that half. The reviews could be used for goals, offside decisions, ref decisions or cards. It keeps the game flowing and doesnt make teams demand a review or video playback every second

Teams would use them for time wasting late on.

Hawkeye would work fine. Fifa are just being awkward. The sooner Blatter steps down the better.

I dont even understand why FIFA are being such cunts about this, how does it benefit them not introducing goal line technology, does it cost that much?

This is what I have been calling for for years now. I have been more generous and asked for 3 reviews per team per game (except you get deducted even if your objection is correct).
All this "it will be different than Sunday league matches" argument is bullshit. Who cares? You aren't playing for millions of dollars. This isn't your job. And if they are worried it could not be implemented in poor countries, then at least implement for the World Cup, Club World Cup, and other international tournaments.

What if when a team has the momentum and the other team uses a review on a pointless incident just to kill out the other teams momentum?

What if a team has a player intentionally go down or a team wastes time to restart play? It isn't any different. Teams wouldn't be able to use a review until play has stopped (out of bounds, foul, offside, etc.). They will not want to use a pointless review because it could come in handy in later. If a review is used, time wasted will be added on.

10 systems failed? Yet we have rockets that can fly into space. 1cm thin touchscreen mobile phones and the Japanese.
