No, I wasn't acting like I know more. That's my point. None of us know for sure.

You're off with this.. firstly he didn't claim anything about knowing how much we have to spend, and you ask him if he's seen our bank statements, and he didn't say you claimed how much we can spend.

He asked me if I've seen their bank statements, trying to use my line against me. But I didn't claim to see their bank statements. I didn't say that he made any claims. Others have made claims, and that's who I was asking "have you seen their bank statements?" I'm being cheeky by asking of course, the point being that the only people who really know what type of cash Man Utd is capable of coming up with are the Glazers, David Gill, their financial advisors, probably their lawyers and possibly David Gill. That's really just about it.
    2 David Gills?

Think Fergie would know how much we have as well Wink

That's what I meant with that second David Gill. I meant to write "and possibly Sir Alex" but I just had a lapse in typing. Apologies.

No, I don't have inside knowledge. I have a better ability to understand accounting, finances and balance sheets than most of you. That's for sure. But in terms of raw hard facts, I do not have more knowledge than anybody else and I'm not claiming as much. In fact, once again, that's my whole point. I have no idea exactly how much cash Man utd is capable of coming up with, just like everybody else on this forum.

For future reference, what constitutes a proper reason? I plan on bumping Pablo Sarabia's claim that Chelsea and Man Utd will "walk away with first and second in the league" and everybody who doesn't realize it is an uneducated idiot. Is that valid?

Common sense would dictate that a team that is worth 2Billion GBP, with annual revenue generation of around 350 million GBP, and owners who are worth a net $2.4 billion could find a way to come up with 100 million GBP. What sucks about this is that they won't because I actually agree with you guys that the Glazers don't have the resolve to make that type of an investment in Manchester United. But whether they will or should is a different question from whether they can.

We don't have £95m to spend on players, simple as that.

So I take that as a yes.

I love how some of you think you can just make a claim and it automatically becomes true. The truth is there are only a few people who know exactly what Man Utd has to spend, and I'm pretty sure none of them post on this forum.
Becomes true? Most of us are 99% sure it is true already Man UTD Set for £95m Spending Spree! - Page 3 58503

And you know this because you've seen their bank accounts.

Who the fuck gives a fuck about their bank account ? We all know they are a big club and can get that money if needed but realistically many of us cant see them spending £95m in the football transfer market.

I think most people are calling bullshit because of how unreliable the sources are.

    It is a bullshit source.

But didn't Man Utd buy down something like 100 million GBP worth of their bonds over the course of 2010. I remember reading that a few months ago. That cash had to come from somewhere.

Didn't say it was. But it demonstrates the ability to come up with cash.

btw-they didn't just pay interest. The principal has come down from about 700m to 500m in three years. That means they've paid more than 200m during that time. Doesn't sound like a distressed asset to me.
